Exercise,
improving mental health, and meeting new friends by running in organized
events are all great incentives to run.
RUNNING
with the COWS on Saturday May 12TH provides a
great organized run with the option of a Half Marathon, 5k, and Kids
Race.
Register for the
5K and join the run with me and my friends!
Scott, It sounds like great fun and a great way to get some much needed fresh air. I think I could do the "kids run" maybe :) Do you run in the frigid temperatures of winter (not this last winter)?
ReplyDeleteRan outside this winter for the first time, the winter was mild this year! The treadmill was my friend the past few winters and may be in the future. Completed several runs with no issues, while running one cold afternoon started to feel short of breath, noticed audible wheezing from my lungs, and realized the cold air caused server bronchospasm. I ran indoors after the episode till the temperature outside improved. May try again next winter, did research shoes, masks and gear that would help with running in the snow/cold.I will post a link in my blog.
DeleteWhat a funny name, "Running with Cows" defaniatly grabs your attention. What is this run supporting, who does it help? I signed up for the March for Babies. Did you sign up for that one too?
ReplyDeleteThe run supports the Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish,a co-works daughter attends the school they operate. A group from work are running to show our support. A co-worker has organized a team for the March for Babies and I will be running in that event as well.
ReplyDeleteA link to the Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish is below, anyone who likes history will enjoy the website.
